He had finally done it. He had finally achieved lucidity in a dream.
He laughed. After a thousand attempts, wasted money on pills and incense, and so many dream journals, he had finally done it.
In his dream, he was sitting in his bed. A large, black creature sat in the corner, with small, sharp claws and beady, menacing eyes. He'd frequently had this nightmare, but he'd never been able to figure out that he was dreaming before the creature had got him.
Now, how to control a dream?
He focused on the black blob and willed it to disappear. It didn't. He thought of it turning into a dragon for him to ride. It didn't.
He hadn't thought ahead this far; he had expected it to be easy to do whatever he wanted after entering a lucid dream.
So, he simply pointed a finger at it and said, "Get out."
"I don't appreciate you telling me what to do," it hissed. "I've been here every night. Usually, when you wake up, you see me and faint. Tell me, why is tonight any different?"
I found this quite amusing, hope that you did too.
